The Central government’s 'Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat' initiative is not getting the desired cooperation from the Odisha government, alleged beneficiaries in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
According to the allegations, three kiosks of ‘Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat’ have been set up in front of Buddha Park in Bhubaneswar. The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) put up these kiosks aimed at extending assistance to beneficiaries in Aadhaar updation, Ujjwala Yojana, PM SVANidhi, among other things.
Reportedly, Odisha government staffs are supposed to be presented at these kiosks to receive applications from beneficiaries and resolve their issues. On Thursday, the reality was altogether different. All the stalls were lying vacant. No government official was found there to attend the beneficiaries. As a result, the beneficiaries were seen returning without getting any service.

‘We came with a hope to get some services here. Reaching here, we found no one to speak to,” said a beneficiary.
Echoing the same, Bharatiya Janata Party’s Chandrasekharpur Mandal president, Damodar Behera alleged, “Many beneficiaries visited the stalls but had to return empty-handed as the stalls were lying vacant.”
However, BMC’s nodal officer, Priyanka Mallick refuted the allegations.
When contacted, Mallick said, “Today staffs were present. Our doctors and staff were at the health camp. Besides, staffs from our north zone were there at the PM SVANidhi stall. Similarly, at the Aadhaar kiosk, staffs of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) were present.”
