With the aim of turning waste into art, Sanjib Biswal, an artist from Cuttack , has created a beautiful replica of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, crafted entirely from scrap materials.
Using old nuts, screws, and GI wires, Sanjeev meticulously welded together pieces of metal to bring PM Modi's face to life. The result is a striking 4-foot-tall sculpture that showcases both artistic skill and creativity.
The unique artwork weighs approximately 27 kilograms of nuts and 3 kilograms of screws, all welded with precision to create a lifelike depiction of the Prime Minister.
According to reports, Sanjeev began the project in the first week of September this year and is now nearing completion, with only a few final details remaining.
Sanjeev’s innovative use of scrap materials has transformed discarded objects into a stunning tribute to PM Modi. "I wanted to create something unique. Many have created sculptures from stone and fiber, but I wanted to work with waste materials to create beautiful art," Sanjeev said in a conversation with OTV.
“90 per cent of the work is completed, with only 10 per cent remaining for detailing,” he added.
He also mentioned plans to treat the sculpture with a powder coating to prevent rust, a method commonly used for outdoor garden sculptures, to extend its shelf life.
Reports suggest that Sanjeev has received a proposal to install the sculpture at the new BJP headquarters in the state.
