"The high school is located near our nodal school. I have been at the high school for the last two months. He (literature teacher) has been misbehaving with me from the very beginning. Other students are ridiculing me over the matter, and I am feeling offended. I brought up the matter in my family. When my family members complained about the matter to the school authorities, the teacher went away, though the committee members were present at the meeting. He even asked us if we could do anything as per our wish. Though we called the helpline number, no action was taken. We have approached the Collector over the matter. I want justice. Action should be taken against the concerned teacher," said the victim.
"They (the victim and her family) approached me today. They have not lodged any oral or written complaint with the police so far. After being informed about the incident, I have given instructions to the IIC through a telephonic conversation to take legal action. I have also advised the student and her family members to start legal recourse. I have promised them that all kinds of actions will be taken. We are committed to taking legal action if we get any kind of complaints like this," said Dhenkanal SP Abhinav Sonkar.
