On the joyous occasion of Children’s Day, students of Palli Bikash Panchayat High School witnessed a shocking sight as their headmaster collapsed in front of them. The incident took place in the Palli Bikash village under the Tureikela block of Bolangir district.
The day was on as usual and the principal was delivering a speech to the students. All of sudden, the headmaster, identified as Parshuram Das, fell to the ground.
Rushing to his rescue, teachers present on the spot rushed him to Kantabanji medical, where doctors declared him dead. Thereafter, his body was handed over to his family following a post-mortem, where no signs of foul play were reportedly found.
Incidentally, though Das originally hailed from Cuttack district, he had been living on rent in Kantabanji town.
Following the sudden passing of the headmaster, a pall gloom shrouded the village as locals mourned his demise.
