Hundreds of aspirants took out a massive rally in Cuttack on Thursday demanding cancellation of RI, ICDS supervisors, ARI, Amin and SFS examination conducted by the Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) alleging large-scale irregularities in the conduct of the examination.
The aspirants took out the rally from Netaji Subash Chandra Bose Bus Terminal in Badambadi and marched towards Collector’s office demanding cancellation of the examination.

Demanding a transparent examination, an agitating candidate said, “The government has deployed black-listed firms to conduct the examination. We demand immediate cancellation of the examination. If our demand is not met, we will intensify our protest.”
“We will submit a memorandum to the Collector addressing the Chief Minister. The government has entrusted black listed companies to conduct the examination. We demand the CM to address our grievance,” another aspirant said.
“Students are studying for 12-14 hours to appear in the competitive examination. They are surviving on Rs 5 Aahaar meal while studying in the library for hours. But the way, the exam is being conducted is spoiling the career of the aspirants,” another aspirant rued.
Earlier in the day, residence of the State Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj in Bhubaneswar was gheroed by the aspirants alleging large-scale irregularities in the recruitment process.
Notably, the prelims examination for the recruitment began on 20th September and will continue till 20th October. OSSSC is conducting the recruitment drive to fill up a total of 2895 vacant posts.
Earlier on 30th September, tension erupted in Nayapalli area in Bhubaneswar after aspirants created a ruckus over the conduct of the examination at a cyber café.
