Bolangir man gets son arrested for involving in criminal cases

Frustrated over his indulgence in criminal activities, a man lodged an FIR against his son who is facing multiple criminal cases and sent him to jail. The incident has been reported from Bolangir district.

The accused has been identified as Nilakantha Patnaik of Rajibnagar Pada area in the district.

According to sources, Nilakantha has been facing serious charges of attempt to murder, loot and other criminal cases. He was even jailed for his alleged involvement in several criminal cases, sources informed.

However, after releasing from the jail on bail, he again unleashed terror in the locality. He even attacked his family members and ransacked furniture at home.

Frustrated over Nilakantha’s behaviour, his father Laxmikanta Patnaik lodged an FIR against him at the Town Police station.

Acting on the complaint, the police arrested Nilakantha and sent him to jail again.

The police have also seized a country-made pistol and dragger from Nilakantha’s possession.

However, no comments from the police and the complainant could be obtained.
