The final day of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) intensive training camp in Puri witnessed a series of structured and focused sessions aimed at reinforcing the party's grassroots organizational strength and expanding public outreach.
Over the course of four separate sessions today, senior BJP leaders provided ideological and practical training to party workers, MLAs, and MPs.
Prominent figures like B.L. Santosh (BJP National General Secretary, Organization), B. Satish (Joint General Secretary, Organization), and Sunil Bansal (General Secretary) led one session each, emphasizing the importance of strengthening party units and effectively communicating government schemes to the masses.
Focus On Building Robust Organisation
The three leaders conducted classroom-style training, guiding participants on how to build robust organizational structures and bridge the gap between governance and public awareness. Their teachings were part of a larger strategy to prepare the BJP's Odisha cadre for the upcoming elections and enhance the party's presence in the state.
On the previous day, BJP National President J.P. Nadda had addressed party leaders in a no-nonsense tone. Delivering a strong message, he stated:
“Do not take pride or develop ego just because you are an MLA, MP, or Minister. First, develop your own personality. Step away from groupism.”
Nadda had earlier urged leaders to visit Anganwadi centres and local medical facilities, spending at least 30 minutes on the ground to understand public issues firsthand. In an impactful session lasting over an hour, Nadda listed 14 key points and tasks for BJP MPs and MLAs, including:
Building strong connections with Dalit families in their constituencies.
Learning how to work efficiently by developing healthy relationships with government officials.
Coordinating seamlessly between the government and the party organization.
Nadda stressed that real leadership lies in action on the ground and not in position or entitlement. His remarks set the tone for a series of training activities designed to instill discipline, humility, and effectiveness among elected representatives.
As the camp concludes, the BJP hopes this initiative will rejuvenate the cadre and refine the party’s grassroots strategy, especially as Odisha remains a key focus for future political battles.
