BJP National Vice President and Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda on Saturday attended a district-level development review meeting held at Pradakshina Bhawan in Jajanga in the district. The meeting was chaired by the District Collector and saw the participation of heads of various departments.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on ongoing and pending developmental projects across the district. Emphasis was laid on expediting rural development works, including incomplete road and bridge construction projects under the Rural Development Department.
Instructions were issued to speed up the implementation of the Mega Drinking Water Project and other infrastructure-related activities. The Collector directed departments to ensure the timely completion of housing units under government schemes and improve access to basic amenities.
Issues related to irrigation facilities and fodder supply for domesticated animals during floods were also discussed. Additionally, updates were provided on the direct benefit transfer (DBT) of PM-Kisan funds to eligible farmers, with officials confirming that all dues have been disbursed through the DBT system.
“A review of Road and Building, RD and RWSS ongoing projects was done today. Besides, a discussion on flood preparedness was held during the meeting,” said Raghuram R. Iyer, Kendrapara Collector.
