BJD will be wiped out soon from Odisha, claims MP Balabhadra Majhi alleging lack of ideology and direction

Without naming anyone directly, Majhi’s statements appeared to target those perceived to be close to the power corridors of the ruling party, but who lack electoral legitimacy or political experience.

Political temperatures are on the rise in Odisha, as sitting BJP MP Balabhadra Majhi launched a scathing attack on the Biju Janata Dal (BJD). In a strongly worded statement to the media, Majhi predicted that the BJD would soon be “clean wiped” from Odisha’s political map, accusing it of having no clear ideology, no guiding principles, and being driven by inexperienced leadership.

BJD Betrayed BJP In 2009

“The BJD lacks both transparency and a sense of direction. There is no clear policy or ideology that the party adheres to anymore,” said Majhi, who was once a prominent face of the party. He further added, “Back in 1997, BJD rose to power in Odisha with the help of the BJP. But in 2009, the same BJD betrayed the BJP by stabbing it in the back.”

Majhi went on to question the current leadership and the way the party is functioning. Taking a dig at the leadership structure, he remarked, “How can a person who hasn’t even been elected as a ward member become the center of power in the party? What experience does he have in political strategy or public service?”

Without naming anyone directly, Majhi’s statements appeared to target those perceived to be close to the power corridors of the ruling party, but who lack electoral legitimacy or political experience.

According to Majhi, the result of such leadership and mismanagement will soon be reflected in the upcoming elections.

“BJD has no clarity, lor leadership, and only through BJP support, they were able to create an organisation. When the BJD backstabbed in 2009, it took time to repay back it.  Naveen Patnaik was not in a position to manage the organisation and he is still not in a position today as well. The people of Odisha are watching everything. This time, the BJD will be shown the door,” he claimed confidently.

As of now, the BJD has not issued any official response to Majhi’s remarks. However, political analysts suggest that such statements coming from a sitting Member of Parliament indicate growing discontent and possible cracks within BJD.

Majhi’s explosive statements have stirred up the political landscape, and with elections inching closer, such attacks are expected to intensify in the coming weeks. All eyes are now on the BJD’s leadership to see how they respond to this internal challenge.
