Bhadrak hosts grand marathon ahead of Shri Ram Navami

Bhadrak witnessed an overwhelming display of patriotism and devotion as a marathon was organized on Sunday ahead of Shri Ram Navami. The event, hosted by the Shri Ram Mahayajna Samiti, aimed to promote a sense of national pride, service, and unity among citizens, especially the youth.

The streets of Bhadrak resonated with enthusiasm as hundreds of participants, including youth, volunteers, political leaders, and local residents, came together to take part in the run.

The event saw participation from prominent political figures, including Odisha BJP President Manmohan Samal, Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, and Bhadrak MLA Sitanshu Shekhar Mohapatra. Setting aside political differences, leaders from various parties joined hands to support the noble cause, sending a strong message of unity and patriotism. Volunteers from different social and cultural organizations also took part, making the event a truly inclusive effort.

“The programme is very auspicious and several volunteers and intellectuals are attending the event,”said State BJP President, Manmohan Samal.

The marathon for the Motherland was flagged off from the Bhadrak District Collector’s Office, with participants running across designated routes, holding banners and chanting slogans promoting national integrity and devotion to Shri Ram. The Shri Ram Mahayajna Samiti, which organized the event, emphasized that the run was not just a celebration of Shri Ram Navami but also a tribute to the ideals of service, self-respect, and the indivisibility of the nation.

To ensure the smooth execution of the event, tight security arrangements were made, with police personnel deployed at various checkpoints along the route. The district administration extended its full support, facilitating a peaceful and well-organized event.

As the runners reached the finishing point, a wave of excitement and patriotic fervour swept through the crowd. The event concluded with speeches from community leaders and organizers, highlighting the significance of national unity and devotion to one’s motherland. Participants expressed their gratitude for being part of such a meaningful event, reinforcing their commitment to social harmony and patriotism.
