Ongoing Initiatives

Currently, Apollo is constructing a 54 MWp (megawatt peak) solar plant in Ganjam district under the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) model, with an investment of Rs 151 crore. This project is seen as a precursor to its larger Rs 4,500 crore vision.

Deputy CM Singh Deo reiterated Odisha’s commitment to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Clean and Green India mission, pledging full support for Apollo’s projects. Notably, the announcement comes at a time when the state aims to reduce carbon emissions while diversifying its industrial portfolio beyond mining.

Odisha’s Economic Momentum

The investment aligns with Odisha’s broader strategy to attract high-impact projects. In 2025 alone, the state secured binding commitments worth Rs 14.47 lakh crore across sectors like manufacturing and renewables, generating over 9 lakh jobs.

Flagship events like the Make in Odisha Conclave and the Delhi Investors’ Meet have positioned the state as an emerging industrial hub.
