Animal cruelty: Man arrested for piercing bull with iron rod in Bhubaneswar

A man has been arrested in Bhubaneswar on the charges of attacking a stray bull in Bhimatangi area. The accused has been identified as Debraj Sundaray alias Tutu.

As per reports, Tutu had allegedly attacked the stray bull with an iron rod which got pierced into its neck region.

The matter came to light after ‘Go-Sevak’ Rashmiranjan Swain lodged a formal complaint with the Airfield police station in connection with the incident on the basis of the CCTV footage.

Police subsequently arrested Tutu after a preliminary investigation.

“A stray bull was standing in front of Tutu’s house. He then went inside and pierced the animal with an iron rod with the help of a wooden stick. On getting information, we rushed to the spot and removed the iron rod,” said Swain.
