Despite being visually impaired, Swagat Mohapatra has donated blood nearly 20 times since 2015. His remarkable journey began a decade ago, and he has never missed an opportunity to extend his support to those in need.

What makes his contribution even more special is his unwavering routine; he donates blood twice every year, on Independence Day (August 15) and Republic Day (January 26). 

Over time, this noble practice has touched countless lives and set a powerful example for the community.

“I have been donating blood since 2015. I donate blood twice a year-on August 15 and January 26,” said Mohapatra

Locals describe Mohapatra’s dedication as a ‘true act of patriotism and humanity,’ proving that physical challenges are no barrier to serving society. His selfless gesture continues to inspire youth and spread awareness about the importance of regular blood donation.
