13 places in Odisha record temperatures at 35 Degrees Celsius or above

Thirteen places in Odisha recorded temperatures of 35°C or above on Sunday, with Paralakhemundi topping at 36.6°C. The IMD predicts continued dry weather and a gradual rise in night temperatures. Rainfall activities are likely from February 19 to 21.

Due to dry weather prevailing over the districts of Odisha and with no significant synoptic system lying in the region, at least 13 places in the State witnessed the maximum (day) temperatures at 35 Degrees Celsius or above, on Sunday.

Paralakhemundi topped the list as the hottest place reaching 36.6 Degrees Celsius, followed by Jharsuguda 36.2°C, Angul 36.1°C, Bolangir 36°C, Bhawanipatna 36°C, Titilagarh 36°C, Boudh 36°C, Dhenkanal 35.8°C, Sambalpur 35.7°C, Sonepur 35.7°C, Hirakud 35.6°C, Bhadrak 35.5°C, Bhubaneswar 35.4°C, and Baripada 35°C, respectively.

Bhubaneswar is experiencing a surge in the day temperature, with the mercury rising above 35 Degrees Celsius once more.

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha till 0830 hrs IST of February 19, the IMD regional centre forecasted.

Temperature Forecast: A gradual rise is likely in the Minimum (night) temperature by two to three Degrees Celsius during next three days and no large change thereafter over the districts of Odisha.

Worth mentioning, the highest maximum temperature of 36.5°C was recorded yesterday at Boudh and the lowest minimum temperature of 10.5°C was recorded at Phulbani in Odisha.
