Mystery shrouded the death of a man and woman whose bodies were found hanging from a tree at Saradhapur village under Chandahandi police limits in Nabarangpur district on Saturday.

According to reports, the woman from Saradhapur village had got married earlier in Nuapada. However, she returned to her village few months back. Later she had a love affair with another man and the duo eloped 15 days ago. They returned to the village a day before the tragedy.
Upon being informed, Chandahati police reached the spot and launched an investigation into the suspected suicide incident.
“As per preliminary investigation, it is suspected that both of them had died by suicide. Further investigation into the incident is underway,” said Chandahandi IIC Paramananda Sunani.
Earlier in May this year, the body of a youth was found hanging from a tree at Dakabangala Chhak in the State capital.
