Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan , produced under Yash Raj Films banner, emerged as the highest Bollywood grosser in 2023. After the mammoth success of movies under YRF’s Spy Universe , now, the makers are all set for the next installments under the franchise including Salman Khan ’s Tiger 3.
As per the previous schedule, Tiger 3 starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi will hit the theatres on November 10. Movie lovers are excited after the official confirmation of SRK’s extended cameo as Pathaan in Tiger 3. While all eyes are on Tiger 3 updates, the makers have already started planning for their next ventures under the Spy Universe.

If the latest reports are anything to go by, after the grand success at the box office with Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War and Pathaan, the makers have started prepping up for more projects including War 2 and an untitled movie that will show Pathaan and Tiger locking horns.
As per the latest reports, War- starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff in the lead along with Vani Kapoor, was directed by Siddharth Anand. With a worldwide business of Rs 400 crore, the movie emerged as the highest-grossing Hindi movie of 2019. Now, the makers are all set for its sequel.
War 2 will be directed by Ayan Mukerji and Hrithik will be reprising his character of Kabir. The storyline will continue from the end of Tiger 3. The makers are targeting late 2024 or early 2025 for its release. Furthermore, the makers have reportedly chalked out plans to bring another A-lister into the franchise to form the base for the biggest film under YRF Spy Universe.
Well, interestingly, Ayan on Tuesday morning made the announcement of being a part of a new movie without disclosing any details. Ayan will be working on the movie before going on Brahmastra: Part Two- Dev and Part Three shooting floors.
While earlier reports suggested, YRF has plans to bring Hrithik, Salman and Shah Rukh together in one movie, it seems, the untitled movie will bring the trio together. Both Sallu and SRK will be the lead actors in the movie. However, in the movie, Pathaan and Tiger may be seen locking horns instead of being friends.
The storyline of the untitled movie or rather ‘Pathaan vs Tiger’ will continue from the end of War 2. This will be the seventh project under the YRF Spy Universe and the principal photography for the same will begin in 2024. And the makers have set the target to release the movie in 2025, said sources.
Apart from Pathaan aka SRK and Tiger aka Salman, both Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif will reprise their roles of Rubai and Zoya respectively. Hrithik Roshan may have a special cameo in the movie.
Earlier, Shah Rukh and helmer Siddharth Anand had dropped hints of Pathaan 2 . However, there are no updates regarding it. Moreover, some other rumours suggested that makers have plans to bring in Abhishek Bachchan as Jai Dixit from the Dhoom franchise into the Spy Universe, but with no official backing, the buzz may not be considered as truth.

However, the makers might have plans to bring in together all the action heroes together in one film. Undoubtedly, the movie with all the action heroes of YRF will become the much-awaited movie of the Hindi cine industry.
