The over three-minute trailer featured the Roshans, their friends and colleagues. The trailer kicked off with Duggu holding a cassette that plays his grandfather Roshan Lal Nagrath's voice. Hrithik proudly says, "That's my grandfather's voice." Further, he talked about the origins of their surname. He shared how the family transitioned from being the Nagraths to Roshans.

As Hrithik said, it is a fascinating story of how their surname changed from Nagrath to Roshan.

Why Roshan from Nagrath?

Duggu's real name is 'Hrithik Rakesh Nagrath' which reflects his Brahmin or Punjabi Saraswat heritage, according to Visitory website.

Bollywood's legendary music director Roshan Lal Nagrath or 'Roshan Saab' is the grandfather of Hrithik and, father of filmmaker and actor Rakesh Roshan and music director Rajesh Roshan.

The 'Roshan' surname in their names is a homage to Roshan Lal Nagrath, whose musical compositions left an indelible mark on the Bollywood landscape.

About Roshan Lal Nagrath

Roshan Lal Nagrath was an Indian esraj player and music director. He was popularly known as 'Roshan'. Born on July 14, 1917, in Gujranwala Province, British India (now Punjab, Pakistan). From a very young age, he was dedicated to music. Being a music enthusiast, he attended Marris College in Lucknow, under the training of Pandit SN Ratanjankar (principal). Under the guidance of Allaudin Khan, Roshan also became an expert Sarod player. He started his career as an assistant to play esraj under Khawaja Khurshid Anwar. Later, to seek fame and fortune, he moved to Bombay (Mumbai) in 1948. He worked as an assistant to Anwar in the film Singaar (1949). His struggles continued until he met the then-famous director-producer Kidar Sharma. He got his first offer as a music composer in 1949 for Neki Aur Badi. Though the film flopped, Sharma offered him another film. In 1950, Baawre Nain became a huge musical hit and Roshan emerged as a big player in the Hindi music industry.

In the early 1950s, Roshan worked with several renowned singers of the time including Mohammad Rafi, Mukesh and Talat Mahmood. He composed music for several movies. Though he was not commercially successful or popular like other music composers of the time, he made a trade mark in the industry. The 1960s was the golden age for Roshan. With his ability to mould folk music with Hindustani classical music, he composed several songs that became successful. Among several songs he composed, 'Jo Wada Kiya Woh Nibhana Padega...' remains evergreen.
