Kishore Kumar, the legendary singer, actor and music composer, needs no introduction. As a versatile singer, he has sung over 2900 songs in multiple languages and has several iconic songs to his name. It is rare to find an Indian music lover who doesn't know Kishore Da. But, actress Alia Bhatt didn't know the legendary singer and once asked Ranbir Kapoor 'Who is Kishore Kumar?'
Well, it certainly sounds surprising. But, RK recently revealed this while talking about his grandfather Raj Kapoor and the restoration of his films.
Recently, Ranbir Kapoor attended the IFFI film festival in Goa. During a conversation with director Rahul Rawail, RK revealed that the Kapoor family will be hosting a Raj Kapoor film festival from 13th December to 15th December. For the festival, his uncle Kunal Kapoor has teamed up with NFDC, NFAI, and Film Heritage of India to restore Raj Kapoor's films and have restored at least 10 movies.

Talking about the restoration of films, the Brahmastra actor said, "There are so many people who have not seen his work. Like the first time I met Alia, she asked me 'Who is Kishore Kumar?' So, it's just that circle of life. Artists are forgotten and newer artists come. It is very important we remember our roots."
Further, when asked if there was one movie of his he would have liked his grandfather to direct, the Animal actor picked 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'.
Well, this is not the first instance. Earlier, Alia was trolled multiple times on social media and she was tagged by many as 'dumb' for various reasons.
