Suniel Shetty Was Held at Gunpoint in the US!

During a recent interview, Suniel Shetty recalled a shocking incident he experienced in the United States soon after the 9/11 attacks. Shetty recalled that during the tragic 9/11 attack, he was in Los Angeles to shoot Kaante. He revealed that the US Cops held him at gunpoint for his looks. After forcing him to go down on his knees, they handcuffed him.

As Shetty recalled, he and his team arrived in Los Angeles just before the attack on the World Trade Center. When the planes hit the WTC, Shetty was in his hotel and saw the shocking footage.

During the interview with The Indian Express, Shetty said that it was almost unbelievable for him as he was witnessing the tragic incident.

A few days later, Shetty experienced the real shock after an unpleasant encounter with the US Cops. As the Dhadkan actor revealed, he forgot his room keys and asked a staff in the hotel lobby for help. While the actor simply asked for help, the man misinterpreted the action and started an uproar. In no time, the cops arrived with their guns.

Fearing that Shetty might be a threat, the officers ordered him to get down on his knees and handcuffed him.

The cops ordered, "Down or we shoot."

The intense moment left Shetty completely shocked.

Shetty said, “I didn’t know what was happening. I had to go down on my knees. They handcuffed me.”

Anna Handcuffed For His Looks!

For his appearance, particularly his beard, Shetty was perceived as a threat amid the heightened security after the tragedy. He stated that the misunderstanding occurred because of how he looked at the time.

Fortunately, some members of the production team stepped in and one of the hotel managers explained that he was a well-known actor. Eventually, the situation calmed down. However, the incident left a scar on his mind.
