Once considered as Tollywood’s ideal couple, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, have moved on in their respective lives after their bitter divorce. Naga recently married actress-model Sobhita Dhulipala while Samantha is rumoured to have found love with ‘The Family Man’ director.
However, their love story continues to captivate fans and their separation resonates as a heartbreak till now. The couple fell for each other during the making of the blockbuster movie ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’ and married in 2017.
But, did you know that Samantha once gave Naga Chaitanya an ultimatum about their relationship? Yes, you read that right! Samantha had given him an ultimatum as he hesitated to inform his family about their blossoming romance.
This was revealed by Naga Chaitanya himself. During an interview, Chaitanya revealed that the ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ actress had threatened that she would tie a ‘rakhi’ on him if he didn’t open up to his parents about their relationship.

“Her threat took me by surprise, and soon after, I spoke to my parents about her, securing their consent,” Chaitanya revealed.
After dating for a couple of years, the couple finally got married in 2017. Unfortunately, they announced their separation only a few years after their marriage. They made their split official in 2021, which has left their fans devastated.
While there have been several speculations about the reasons behind their divorce, both Chaitanya and Samantha have remained tight-lipped about the cause. While fans suspect Naga of having an affair with Sobhita while being married to Samantha, the actress recently revealed that she met Chaitanya two years after his divorce.
On the work front, Naga Chaitanya is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie ‘Thandel’ with Sai Pallavi. Samantha on the other hand has a couple of movies like ‘Maa Inti Bangaram’ and a web series ‘Rakt Brahmand’ alongside Aditya Roy Kapur.
