News Summary

Aamir Khan reportedly returned part payment to YRF after Fanaa was banned in Gujarat.

Govt. of Gujarat banned the movie in response to Aamir lending support to Narmada Bachao Andolan.

Aamir Khan has taken a break from the movies as an actor at least for a year after his last movie Laal Singh Chaddha tanked at the box office. Since the movie was produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, Aamir incurred heavy losses and reportedly had to return some amount to the distributors.

It was the second biggest flop in the career of Aamir whose earlier movie Thugs of Hindostan also was a dud. But it was produced by Yash Raj Films and it took a long time for the production house to recover the losses.
