The recent confirmation about Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal reuniting with Priyadarshan for Hera Pheri 3 has filled excitement among moviegoers. Moreover, Gulshan Grover and Tabu's hints of reprising their roles in the 3rd part of the comedy franchise have thrilled all. However, the previous version of Hera Pheri 3 which was supposed to be helmed by Farhad Samji had left many disheartened. While the internet was abuzz with reports of Kartik Aaryan coming on board, Paresh Rawal's confirmation triggered speculations about Koki replacing Akki. However, the Sharmaji Namkeen actor recently revealed that Akki was to join Koki in the previous story.

Hera Pheri 3: All About Kartik Aaryan Coming Onboard, Akshay Kumar Walking Out
Hera Pheri 3 is one of the much-awaited films and fans are quite happy for the OGs coming together. However, the earlier reports of Akshay Kumar walking out of the project had left many heartbroken. Later, the reports of Kartik Aaryan coming onboard were abuzz and Rawal confirmed the same.
During a recent interview with Siddharth Kanan, the veteran actor disclosed that Kartik was already signed for the previous version of Hera Pheri 3. Moreover, he also clarified that it was a different story and Kartik was never supposed to replace Akshay. In fact, Akshay was supposed to join them. He also explained that Kartik would have joined as a completely new character.
"Vo kahani alag thi tabhi, isko Raju samjh kar pakad kar laaye the, ye alag hi kirdar tha, kahani ye thi, mere ko jitna pata hai, poori kahani to maine nahin suni thi (That was a different story then, and he was brought for the role of Raju, but it was a different character. This was the story as much as I know. I hadn’t listened to the entire script)."

Now that Priyadarshan is helming the third instalment, Koki is not a part of it.
