Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna's upcoming horror-comedy flick 'Thama' is nearing its climax after months of exploring eerie legends, shadowy forests, and a twisted love story. Notably, Aditya Sarpotdar began the final leg of shooting the vampire-themed flick in Ooty, which is the most crucial part of the film, on April 28. While the team is gearing up for the next schedule, an interesting update on 'Vampire' has surfaced.

Not Just Love Story, Thama to Explore Vampire's Mysterious Past!
According to the reports, the team is currently stationed around Doddabetta Peak in the Nilgiri forests of Tamil Nadu. In this schedule which runs through May 25, the team will film some key moments including diving deeper into the lead characters' romance and the climax.
Meanwhile, an interesting update related to the 'Vampire' has surfaced. The team will shoot the origin story of the Vampire with a mysterious past, played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Nawaz is expected to join the unit in mid-May.
According to the report by Mid-Day, a source close to the development revealed that after wrapping up their schedule in Ooty, the team is filming in and around Doddabetta Peak.
The source was quoted as saying, "In this leg, the director will shoot some portions of the love story between the leads. After Nawazuddin joins the unit in the third week of May, they will shoot the backstory of how he became a vampire, and the climax."
After wrapping up the current leg later this month, the team will be left with two songs to shoot.

The upcoming instalment of Maddock Supernatural Universe, Thama, is set across two time periods. Ayushmann plays a historian in the movie who investigates the mythological roots of vampires in Indian folklore. Reportedly, the story shifts to the present day in the historic city of Vijayanagar, where a tale of unfulfilled love bridges the timelines.
