Recently, Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran were spotted together at Hyderabad airport. The pictures of the actors were taken on the internet by storm. In the pictures, both the actors are seen being welcomed by airport officials.
Sharing the pictures, a user wrote, Mahesh Babu - Rajamouli's SSMB29 next schedule begins in Odisha tomorrow. Prithviraj is officially on board for the film to do the antagonist role.
While an official confirmation from the makers is awaited, the viral images of the actors have sparked excitement among all.
Prithviraj Sukumaran Onboard!
Earlier, reports were abuzz that Prithviraj Sukumaran was in talks with SS Rajamouli for SSMB29. Later, certain reports claimed that John Abraham would be replacing Prithviraj as the antagonist. However, recently, the Salaar actor dropped a hint about coming on board for Rajamouli's globe-trotting adventure. Amid the speculations, Prithviraj's mother and veteran actress Mallika Sukumaran confirmed his involvement in the project.

Tentatively titled SSMB29, Rajamouli's action adventure is reportedly being made at a colossal budget of Rs 900-1000 crore. The movie is being touted as one of the most expensive productions in Indian cinema. Reportedly, the movie will be released in two parts and filming will expectedly continue until 2026. While the first instalment is slated to release in 2027, the second part will hit the theatres in 2029.
