Bollywood's ace filmmaker Karan Johar made his directorial debut in 1998's romantic-comedy drama Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji, the movie emerged as a blockbuster and scripted several records. The movie swept away multiple awards including National and Filmfare awards. Fans are well aware that KJo wanted to cast Twinkle Khanna and not Rani Mukerji. But, did you know even SRK was sceptical and didn't want to sign the movie?

Initially, SRK was hesitant to sign the movie even though KJo and the Badshah actor share a good bond of friendship.

Filmmaker Farah Khan, who also is a good friend of SRK and KJo, recently revealed that the Jawan actor didn't want to do Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

During a candid conversation with Radio Nasha, Farah said, "Shah Rukh ne mar mar ke Kuch Kuch Hota Hai kiya, he used to say I am too old to play this college boy, and he was 30 that time!"

During the conversation, she also revealed that she wanted to make a young film after seeing Kuch Kuch Hota Hai for which she 'reverse engineered' the reason to make Main Hoon Na.

Further, Farah stated that she only wanted SRK in her college film. Thus, the mastermind played well with the script. Wondering why SRK would go to college, she worked the entire thing backwards and showed how he would go undercover.

Farah, who was popularly known as a choreographer, made her directorial debut with Main Hoon Na. Her 'long-time' dream was released in 2004.

She further shared that initially, Main Hoon Na was envisioned as a short film and later went on to become a full-length feature.

Initially, the movie was about SRK busting a drug peddling racket in the college and falling in love with the chemistry teacher.

Farah recalled, “But while writing, I kept feeling this is a bit small, and then the whole India-Pakistan, Project Milap, Raghavan (Suniel Shetty) bits kept adding, and the film grew.”

Notably, Main Hoon Na was the first film SRK's production house, Red Chillies Entertainment, produced.

In both the movies, SRK played a vital role in making those happen adding his ideas.
