Shah Rukh Khan wanted to revive Don with OG helmer Chandra Barot!

Yesteryear filmmaker Chandra Barot, who passed away on Sunday at 86, was the man behind OG Don with Angry Young Man Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. Though he had made several other movies, he will be remembered for Don. It's no secret that Farhan Akhtar came up with Don reboot, having Shah Rukh Khan in the titular role. Although it was a remake, the climax was tweaked. However, did you know that SRK wanted to collaborate with the OG Don director Chandra Barot for Don reboot?

Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan addressed the Don reboot talk and expressed that he wanted to collaborate with Chandra Barot for Don.

According to a report by Times Now, during his appearance in an episode of Koffee With Karan, the Jawan actor was asked by host Karan Johar, "If you woke up one morning and realised that you had gone back to the 70s, you would…”

To this, the King actor replied, "I would make Don with Chandra Barot and quell all the controversies that happen now.”

Farhan Akhtar made the remake of Don, Don: The Chase Begins, in 2006 and came up with a sequel, Don 2: The Chase Continues. Both projects were led by SRK.
