Earlier, several celebrities have fallen victim to deepfake videos raising concerns across the world. Be it Rashmika Mandanna, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif or Aamir Khan, digitally altered videos of these celebrities, that were created using Artificial Intelligence (AI) went wildly viral. And now, Shah Rukh and his family are the latest victims of deepfakes.
The pictures in which Shah Rukh is 'seen' with his wife Gauri and son Aryan Khan in Mecca are AI-generated.
Reportedly, the first photos surfaced on New Year and it was claimed that SRK and his family went to the Holy City on New Year. Even it was claimed that Gauri converted to Islam. The pictures took the internet by storm triggering mixed responses from netizens. However, the pictures turned out to be fake and generated using AI.
Notably, studies in the UK and other countries have found that numerous famous people have fallen victim to deepfake pornography and suffered due to AI-generated videos.
