The last update shared by Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao about the completion of the script of Sanam Teri Kasam 2 fueled excitement among all. However, producer Deepak Mukut hit back at the directors and said that he reserves the copyrights of Sanam Teri Kasam. Moreover, he also said that the directors have no authority to announce a follow-up.
During a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Vinay stated that Sanam Teri Kasam begins with a flashback and they had initially written two parts of the film. Further, he said that they intended to go with the second part earlier, but they couldn't go ahead with it for some reason.
Talking about the ongoing controversy over the copyright dispute, Sapru said, Nobody even asked for it all this while, until now. This (confusion) has been happening because of the interviews. I want to put it on record once and for all: There will be another story of love and promises that will arrive on Valentine’s in 2026, but we haven’t announced a film. How can I be so selfish to announce?"
Further, he continued that he loves his team of producers and directors. He also said that Deepak Mukut is a 'Dear Friend' and they also had dinner with him on Monday night.
