Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya still have not moved on from the bitter separation that happened almost a year ago. Sam’s recent statements regarding her divorce from Naga on Koffee With Karan Season 7 emphasized that their relationship is not amicable at present.
However, careerwise both of them are doing very well. The Tollywood beauty has a couple of big movies lined up for release and one of them is tentatively titled Thalapathy67 to be helmed by Lokesh Kangaraj. Previously it was speculated that Sam will be playing the role of the female lead in this movie. But the latest reports suggest that the Oh! Baby actress will be playing a powerful cop in this movie whereas Thalapathy Vijay is portraying the character of a gangster in his 40s and the movie will be having Mumbai’s underworld as the major backdrop.
Coincidentally, Naga Chaitanya is also all set to don the Khaki for the second time for a movie. Reportedly he is going to play the role of a powerful police officer in a movie directed by Kollywood director Venkat Prabhu.
Naga earlier played the role of a police officer in the movie Sahasam Swasaga Saagipo helmed by Gautam Menon. However, the movie was a big flop. Currently, Naga is keenly awaiting Aamir Khan-produced Laal Singh Chaddha to hit the theaters as he will be making his Bollywood debut with this flick. Interestingly, Samantha also has some Bollywood projects in the pipeline including a movie with Ayushmann Khurrana backed by Dinesh Vijan. The actress has created quite a stir among the pan-Indian audience with her sizzling hot number in O Antava from Pushpa: The Rule and is gearing up to take up more challenges with her upcoming projects.
