Veteran Bollywood actor Shatrughan Sinha on Sunday took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle to express his shock and concern over the recent stabbing of Saif Ali Khan. Calling the attack 'sad and unfortunate', the actor also extended recovery and his best wishes to Khan and his wife, Kareena Kapoor. However, he accompanied the post with an AI-generated image of the couple in the hospital, which drew major flak.

The AI image showed Saif lying on a hospital bed with Kareena sitting beside him, both smiling. Further, the image contained the watermark of Grok AI, X’s AI chatbot tool, making it clear that the image was indeed an AI-generated one.

While many on social media aligned with Sinha and wished Khan a speedy recovery, others were puzzled by the use of the AI-generated image. A netizen asked, "Sir, what's the need to use an AI-generated image?" Another commented, "If this is an Ai-generated image then there was no need for this”.

In his post, Shatrughan Sinha continued wishing a fast recovery to Saif Ali Khan and “profound regards to my all-time favourite 'showman' filmmaker Raj Kapoor’s granddaughter Kareena Kapoor Khan & the family."

Incidentally, Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times at his Bandra apartment early Thursday. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent surgery to remove a 2.5-inch blade lodged near his spine.
