Days after actress Ruhani Sharma's intimate scenes from Agra leaked online, she penned down a heartfelt note on social media. In her post, she reacted to people's judgment over her intimate scenes from her upcoming Hindi film Agra.
Sharma wrote that she feels judged over how the internet reacted to the intimate scenes of the movie that premiered at the Cannes Film Festival Directors' Fortnight in 2023.
She wrote, "It’s heartbreaking to see our months of hard work, dedication, and passion being disregarded in this way. Creating an art film is an intense journey filled with countless challenges, sleepless nights and unwavering commitment.”
Further, her post read, "What’s even disheartening is how quick some are to judge without understanding the blood, sweat, and tears that go into bringing such a project to life.”
Ruhani called Agra a 'labour of love' and wrote how the movie has been acclaimed internationally. She further wrote that she feels proud of the film and the entire team that made it.
"For those who may not fully grasp or appreciate this style of filmmaking, I ask for your respect. Art isn’t always meant to be easy or comfortable - it’s meant to challenge, to evoke emotion, to make us think,” she added.
For the unversed, intimate scenes of Ruhani Sharma from the movie Agra have been doing rounds on social media. Soon after the scenes went viral, netizens raised questions about how the actress agreed to do such scenes. Many also objectified and trolled her brutally.
Earlier, Ruhani remained mum over the matter. However, now she decided to speak up as it's been 'weighing heavy' on her.

On the work front, Agra will be Ruhani's debut Hindi theatrical flick. She was last seen in 2019's web series Poison on Zee 5 and web film Blackout on JeeCinema. Ruhani has been actively working in Telugu films and will soon make her Tamil debut.
