The buzz around Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi's upcoming Ramayana is quite huge. After a few pictures of a 'clean-shaven' RK with the crew of Ramayana surfaced, reports have been abuzz that the makers have wrapped up the first part of the movie. However, odishatv.in has exclusively learned the latest updates on the much-awaited magnum opus, helmed by Nitesh Tiwari.

Not a Wrap-Up for Ramayana: Part One

The shooting of Ramayana: Part One was ongoing in full swing in Mumbai's Film City with the sets constructed in Josh Maidan and Helipad. The crew member snapped with RK and the caption for the post read: It's a wrap for Ramayana Part 1.

However, while talking to odishatv.in, a close source informed that only 50 per cent of Ramayana: Part One has concluded yet. The team took a break and the pictures from the sets that went viral on social media were after the schedule wrapped up. The team will be back on floors after a month. Within the break, the team will discuss the problems faced and all other things that have been done to date and will plan accordingly for the next schedule.

Action-Packed Exile Period of Lord Ram, Devi Sita and Lakshman

The makers have roped in Terry Notary, an experienced stunt coordinator who has worked on Avatar and Avengers Endgame. The inclusion of Terry as the action director for Ramayana is a significant addition to the film's crew. To deliver high-octane action sequences, Terry is designing the movie's war sequences.

The source informed that the makers have planned for an action-packed exile period of Lord Ram, Devi Sita and Lakshman. Recently, the team wrapped up a few of the action sequences from the exile period.

Sunny Deol and Yash to Join the Sets in November

The makers have targeted to complete Ranbir's part by November. If the shooting schedule goes as per plans, once the team is done with Ranbir's part, Sunny Deol and Yash will join the sets in November.

They won't have a full-fledged role in the first part, their respective characters, i.e. Lord Hanuman and Demon King Ravana, will be introduced towards the end of Part One. As planned, Part One will conclude with the abduction of Devi Sita (Sai Pallavi) by Ravana (Yash) and Lord Hanuman's introduction.

As reported earlier, the world of Ramayana is being designed by Oscar-winning VFX Company DNEG, which is also producing Ramayana. After film industry titan Namit Malhotra came on board as producer, the expectations among all have reached the zenith. A significant portion of the shooting is done in VFX, which enables creation of complex and realistic environments, and sequences, the source informed.

Lord Ram and His Siblings' Childhood

Earlier, images of Arun Govil, Lara Dutta and a few kids from the sets went viral. Reports were abuzz that Part One will focus on the childhood of Lord Ram and his siblings and young Prince Ram. However, the source informed the childhood phase of Lord Ram and his siblings will be more like a montage or presented as a transition. The story will be more focused on young Prince Ram, his marriage and his exile period.
