Rakesh Roshan during one of his interviews earlier revealed some interesting things related to his relationship with Hrithik Roshan. In yet another interview recently he also talked at length about the reasons behind Bollywood movies not working well in the last few months. The famous director and actor who is celebrating his birthday today in a throwback interview said that he always treated his son normally and made him travel in taxis, buses, and taxis.
The Karan Arjun director-producer also said that he was happy that Duggu went through a lot of ups and downs in his career. Praising the Krrish actor, Rakesh Roshan said that his son had worked very hard and that while he himself could not be successful as an actor Hrithik fulfilled his dream and became a superstar and is idolized across the world.
In a recent interview, Rakesh discussed at length the reasons why Bollywood movies are failing to make an impact on the audience. He said that today Hindi cinema lacks good stories as well as music and need topics that are rooted in the culture of India.
Citing the example of SS Rajamouli’s movies, Rakesh said movies are not working because people are making them only for their friends to watch and the subjects that are part of such movies appeal to only a small section of the audience whereas the masses at large cannot even relate to such subjects. He added that it was the kind of music that made actors superstars.
Elaborating this statement further, the famous director said that people remember heroes while referring to a particular hit song but that is not happening today. Talking about why Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Raj or SS Rajamouli’s RRR were such big hits, Rakesh said that both these movies were presented in a grand manner and were rooted in the Indian culture. He also claimed that Baahubali was similar to Karan Arjun albeit presented on a bigger scale.
