Even reports claimed that Korean-American actor Ma Dong-Seok will be seen as the antagonist. But, the latest report suggests that the makers are in talks with Vijay Sethupathi to play the antagonist.

According to the latest report, Sandeep Reddy Vanga recently met Vijay Sethupathi to discuss the project and his role as the antagonist. The report suggests that negotiations are currently underway.
If everything falls in place, fans will get to see Prabhas locking horns with Vijay Sethupathi. Undeniably, the two powerhouse performers will add significant weight to the cop drama. While Spirit has already generated immense curiosity with reports of seeing Prabhas in a dual role, the inclusion of Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist would further elevate the expectations of moviegoers.
Will Vijay Sethupathi Give His Nod to Play the Villainous Role?
Vijay Sethupathi has delivered some of the most memorable villainous performances in Tamil movies. He was also seen as the antagonist in Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan and earned praise. However, over time, Vijay has proven his versatility as an actor. His powerful performance as the protagonist in Maharaja was lauded by moviegoers.
Meanwhile, reports surfaced that Vijay would focus on lead roles and avoid villainous characters to move forward. Moreover, during a recent interview Vijay reportedly stated that he no longer intends to take on negative roles.
However, the latest report by IndiaGlitz Tamil states that Vijay Sethupathi is currently in talks with Vanga to play the primary antagonist in Spirit.
