Paresh Rawal's exit from Hera Pheri 3 left Akshay Kumar in tears! Is Pankaj Tripathi an apt replacement?

Veteran actor Paresh Rawal aka Babu Bhaiya's exit from Hera Pheri 3 has left everyone shocked. While Akki remains tight-lipped, Suniel Shetty and director Priyadarshan have voiced their opinions on the matter. Furthermore, Akki's production house Capes of Good Films has clarified about sending legal notice to Paresh Rawal, demanding Rs 25 crore in damages for his sudden exit from the much-awaited Hera Pheri 3. Well, recently Priyadarshan shared how Akki reacted after learning about his Bhooth Bangla co-star's exit.

Akshay Kumar's Reaction to Paresh Rawal's Exit

Paresh Rawal walked out of Hera Pheri 3 without citing any reason. While reports were abuzz that Akki's production house sent the veteran actor a legal notice, director Priyadarshan extended full support to the Khiladi star.

Well, during a recent interview with Mid-Day, Priyadarshan shared that Akshay, Suniel and Paresh had already started working on Hera Pheri 3.

He said, "All our contracts were signed. Ten days ago, Akshay, Suniel and Paresh shot a scene and the IPL teaser. It was only after we unanimously agreed to do Hera Pheri 3 that Akshay bought the (franchise) rights."

Further, Priyan recalled an emotional moment with Akki after Paresh's sudden exit.

The filmmaker said, "Akshay had tears in his eyes when he asked me, 'Priyan, why is Paresh doing this to us?'"

He added, "Akshay shouldn't suffer financial losses because Paresh walked out on a whim. I understand that he will have to take whatever action is required."

Further, expressing his disappointment over Paresh's abrupt exit, Priyadarshan said, "He (Paresh) could have picked up the phone and told me before telling the media because we've been friends for years."

Is Pankaj Tripathi Replacing Paresh Rawal?

Amid Paresh Rawal's exit, speculations have been rife that Pankaj Tripathi will step into the shoes of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte. While a section of fans suggest that the Mirzapur actor could be an apt replacement for Paresh, Tripathi responded to the buzz.

During a recent interview, the Gangs of Wasseypur actor was asked that people on social media have been suggesting that he should be cast in Hera Pheri 3, so, what does he have to say.

Tripathi said, "That is something I have also heard and read. I don't believe in it. Paresh ji is an amazing actor. I am zero in front of him. I respect him a lot. I don't think I am the right person for the role."
