Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for his upcoming period drama 'Love & War' with Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. Helmed by eminent filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the movie has been creating immense buzz since the announcement as four powerhouses are joining forces for the first time. According to earlier reports, RK's box office clash with KFI's Rocking Star Yash was on the cards before their epic on-screen battle in Ramayana. However, now it seems, not Yash, Ranbir will have a fierce box office clash with Kartik Aaryan and Varun Dhawan with the release of Love & War.

According to earlier reports, Love & War was originally planned for release on March 20, 2026. Thus, the release date collided with Yash's upcoming flick Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups. However, the latest report suggests that the Love & War release plan is being postponed to Independence Day, 2026. If everything falls in place, Ranbir Kapoor's Love & War will clash with Kartik Aaryan's Nagzilla and Varun Dhawan's Bhediya 2.
A source revealed to Bollywood Hungama that Love & War faced a setback due to a three-month delay in its filming schedule forcing the makers to step away from their original Eid 2026 launch plans, averting box office clash with Yash's Toxic. Now, Independence Day weekend has emerged as a perfect alternative for the makers to release the much-awaited period drama.
The source added that Independence Day perfectly suits the film's theme of Love and War.
However, an official confirmation of the new release plans is awaited from the makers.
Kartik Aaryan's Clash With Varun Dhawan Locked
Notably, Kartik Aaryan's Nagzilla, in which he will be seen as 'Ichadhaari Naag', is slated to release on August 14, 2026.
Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan's Bhediya 2 is all set to hit the theatres on August 14, 2026. This confirms a direct box-office clash between Kartik and Varun.
