Mrunal Thakur was first choice for Sultan opposite Salman; Here's why she lost YRF movie; watch

Mrunal Thakur has slowly managed to take her career higher in the last few years. Despite getting good movies in Bollywood, she never could get the success she deserved. However, the South Indian movie Sita Raman has changed fortune for her and now she is in high demand both in Bollywood and Southern film industry.

She has always been a talented young lady and that is why Mrunal Thakur is one of the very few television actors who have been successful in Bollywood as the leading lady. During her initial struggling days, the Super 30 actress almost got a chance to work in a high-budget film with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.

It was revealed by Bhaijan himself on Bigg Boss 15 when Mrunal and Shahid Kapoor came on the reality show to promote their movie Jersey. Throwing light on the same, the Bharat actor said, “Toh mein aapko inke baare mein kuch batata hoon.

The original star of Sultan was her. She had come to the farm to meet me. Ali lekar aya tha inko. And uss waqt yeh pahelwan type lag nahi rahi thi. Anushka bhi nahi lagti thi pahelwan type. Mein hamesha se janta tha ki inka accha hoyega hi hoyega.”

To this Shahid Kapoor responded, “She is very talented.” So Mrunal Thakur lost Sultan because she did not look like a wrestler. However, she has managed to prove that the confidence that Salman had in her was indeed true. Over the years she has worked in some good movies like Batla House, Gumraah, Lust Stories 2, and more.

She has many more South Indian biggies in hand and surely has a long way to go in the film industry.
