It was a big day for Amazon Prime Video as the platform launched and announced some new shows, confirmed a few that were already on the cards, and renewed a few as well. Apart from Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur’s Family Star which will be released on Amazon Prime post-theatrical release and announcement of Shahid Kapoor’s Ashwatthama, it was The Family Man Season 3 and Mirzapur Season 3 news that hogged most of the limelight.
For the fans of The Family Man franchise, it has been a long wait since the second season was released in June 2021. It was a big hit and won many awards including eleven Filmfare OTT Awards, 2 awards at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, and 5 Asian Academy Creative Awards.
Naturally, fans wanted the team to come up with the third season. While there was a strong buzz that the makers are planning the third season, the speculations saw the light today as Amazon Prime officially confirmed that it has renewed the franchise for the third season.
So finally, fans can hope for The Family Man 3 to release sometime in 2024.
Ali Fazal dropped hints about The Mirzapur Season 3
A day ago Ali Fazal dropped a teaser on his social media account related to The Mirzapur Season 3 which many thought was a hint that the makers are announcing the release date of the upcoming season the next day. However, instead of the release date Amazon Prime released the first look of Season 3 and it looks full of bloodshed and violence.
The poster shows a chair that is burning with many bodies lying around. Interestingly it is not any chair but the chair of Kaleen Bhaiya for which Guddu Bhaiya and others have been fighting a violent battle for long. Ali Fazal who plays a very important role as Guddu Bhaiya dropped a few hints related to the storyline of Mirzapur 3. He said that while the flavour of the upcoming season will be the same as before, a few new characters will be introduced this season whereas a few old characters will take an exit.
Ali also said that this season will have more masala. All these details and the first look of Mirzapur 3 have made fans more eager to watch the upcoming season.
