The grand success of Gadar 2 has brought back the ‘lost’ craze for actor Sunny Deol. While fans seem to be quite excited about upcoming projects of the actor, Lahore 1947 has been confirmed. Moreover, the excitement for the movie is skyrocketing with each passing day as Preity Zinta will be teaming up with Sunny Deol after a long time.
Helmed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced under Aamir Khan Productions, Lahore 1947 has built high anticipation among movie lovers as well as the director.
Recently, Rajkumar Santoshi opened up about Sunny and Preity teaming up for the flick. Sharing his sentiments, Santoshi said, "After a long time, Preity Zinta is again playing a very important role for the silver screen with Lahore 1947. She is indeed an extremely talented, finest, and most natural actress in our industry. Whichever character she plays, she totally invests herself in it and makes the audience feel that she is made for that character."

Further, he added, "Interestingly, the audience will see her again with Sunny Deol. This on-screen pair has always been loved by the audience. Above all, this film's script demands a pair that is as accurate as Sunny and Preity.”

Though 'The Hero: Love Story of a Spy' bombed at the box office, it became the third highest-grossing movie of the year. Moreover, the onscreen chemistry of Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta was loved by the audience. Now, movie lovers are certainly waiting with their fingers crossed to watch the duo onscreen. Sunny and Preity have also worked together in Farz and Bhaiaji Superhit.
Notably, Preity had a guest appearance in Sunny’s directorial Dillagi and then they went on to work in Farz, Yeh Raaste Hain Pyaar Ke, The Hero, and were also in Heroes but they didn’t have scenes together.
Earlier, when Preity teamed up with Sunny for Bhaiyyaji Superhitt, the Veer Zaara actress had said that she was very happy to work with Sunny and he is her most favourite actor.
