Bollywood actresses like Kiara Advani, Shraddha Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and even Alia Bhatt have auditioned for a few movies. However, only a few actresses were lucky to get the movie, especially when they were very much new in the industry.
Kiara Advani for Laal Singh Chaddha
Kiara Advani had auditioned for the role of Rupa from Laal Singh Chaddha. She revealed during one of her interviews that she auditioned for that role unknowingly but her audition was horrible and she failed to get the movie. But fans are happy that Rupa’s role went to Kareena Kapoor Khan as Bebo just nailed it.
Shraddha Kapoor auditioned for a SLB film
In an old interview, Shraddha Kapoor revealed that she once auditioned for a role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie. The Baaghi actress said, “Before Teen Patti was released, I auditioned for a really important film. I was dying to get it. I worked day and night and gave the audition my all. But I did not bag the part.” Shraddha said that when she found out that she was replaced in the movie she cried for days and nights.
Deepika Padukone did a look test for Beyond the Clouds
Deepika made her debut with Om Shanti Om. But around the same time, she also gave a look test for Aamir Khan-produced Dhobi Ghat. Although it was not an actual audition, later on, it was said that she was doing a look test for Majid Majidi’s Beyond the Clouds but failed and the role went to Malvika Mohanan.
Shraddha Kapoor-Alia Bhatt for Thugs of Hindostan
Both Alia Bhatt and Shraddha Kapoor at one point auditioned for Thugs of Hindostan and YRF decided to go forward with the latter. However, later on, the role went to Katrina Kaif who has been favourite of the leading production banner for a long time.
Alia Bhatt auditioned for Wake Up Sid
Before making her debut in Bollywood as Student of the Year, Alia had auditioned for the role of Wake Up Sid but could not pass the audition. A leaked video related to the same had also surfaced online a few years ago.
