Kannada Film Industry's Rocking Star Yash's 'KGF: Chapter 2' took home the award for Best Kannada Film and Best Action Direction at the National Films Award. Yash, filmmaker Prashanth Neel and Hombale Films' producer Vijay Kirangandur must be on cloud nine after making it big at the national level. After KGF 2, fans are eyeing for updates on KGF: Chapter 3. Recently, Vijay Kiragandur shared a major update on the third instalment of the KGF franchise.
At the National Film Award ceremony held in New Delhi, Vijay dropped some exciting details about KGF: Chapter 3 during the media interaction.
Vijay said that though the work for the third instalment has not yet begun, fans can expect the updates in the next four to five months.
He also talked about the massive box office success of KGF: Chapter 2, which grossed Rs 1200 crore globally. He mentioned that the impressive action choreography played a key role in elevating Kannada Cinema on a national level.
Well, now that Vijay has cleared the air, fans need to wait for another four to five months for KGF 3 updates.
Currently, filmmaker Prashanth Neel is busy with Prabhas' Salaar 2. Reportedly, Neel will begin his next NTR 31. Tentatively titled Dragon, the movie is currently in the pre-production phase. The shooting will expectedly begin by the end of October or early November 2024 in Hyderabad. Jr NTR is anticipated to join the sets between January and February 2025. Reportedly, the makers have locked Kannada beauty Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead. However, fans need to wait for an official confirmation. On the other hand, Yash is busy with Toxic: A Fairytale For Grownups. The makers have chalked out plans for a 45-day shooting schedule at a studio in Mumbai suburbs. The schedule includes romantic scenes of Yash and Kiara. The shooting will expectedly begin before or after Diwali as there are plans to shoot a few outdoor scenes in this leg.
Once Neel and Yash are free from their earlier commitments, they will reportedly team up for KGF: Chapter 3. However, the announcement will be made before that.
