Kannada Film Industry (KFI) Rocking Star Yash's KGF Chapter 2 is one of the most hyped movies that fans are eagerly waiting for. The makers had locked July 16, 2021 for releasing the most awaited KGF 2 in theatres. However, due to the prevailing pandemic situation in the country, the makers had to postpone the date and later locked the release date on April 14, 2022.
From today (September 27), the release date is exactly 198 days away. The likely threat of COVID 3rd wave had become the main concern of all. Considering the threats, the makers had locked the new release date by maintaining a long gap.

Meanwhile, rumours stormed the social media that since there is less likelihood of a COVID 3rd wave, which probably could have affected many, the makers would revise the release date of KGF Chapter 2 to 2021. On the other hand, many are losing patience and requested the makers to re-announce the release date and re-set it to sometime in 2021.
However, all such speculations have ended now.

Several others closely related to the film industry have also quashed the rumours and have confirmed the same.

Preponing KGF Chapter 2 release date may not be a good idea for the makers as several other hyped movies from different movie industries including Bollywood have already booked the release dates. Releasing KGF 2 on these dates could affect the overall collection.
Moreover, the makers have selected a good date for KGF 2 release which is a long weekend, i.e. Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. While Thursday (April 14) is Dr Ambedkar Jayanti, April 15 is Good Friday followed by Saturday and Sunday. This can turn out to be a money churner for the theatre owners as well as the makers.
Well, with all speculations having ended now, fans should keep patience till April 14, 2022 and book their tickets at the earliest in their nearest theatres releasing KGF Chapter 2.
