COVID-19 pandemic is now getting on to the nerves of one and all.
Following the outbreak of the deadly virus, every industry has gone into a state of intertia. Particularly, the covid second wave in India has wreaked havoc with the massive surge in active case loads and fatalities across the country.
Now, over a year, the Indian film industry as well as other industries are staring at uncertainty. Makers waited for a long time as cinema halls remained shut amid the pandemic. Not finding any other way out, makers preferred to release movies on OTT platforms and other digital platforms eyeing the recoveries of the project investments.

However, big projects like Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon and Srinidhi Shetty starrer KGF Chapter-2, Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer RRR, Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa, etc. which are meant for big canvas can't afford releasing on OTT platforms. Even audience won't prefer watching the high-action packed movies on small screens.
As per latest reports, makers of such big projects have decided to postpone the release dates. Meanwhile, reports suggest, the makers have locked the new dates for releasing the flicks.
If the reports are anything to go by, KGF Chapter 2 new release date has been locked for 2021 Dushera, i.e. October 15. Earlier, the release date was locked for July 16, but considering the current situation of pandemic, the makers took the tough decision. Of course, it's a heartbreaking moment for fans of Rocky bhai.
Taking the current grim situation of pandemic into account, governments across all states won't take the risk of allowing congregations. Moreover, governments won't allow opening of theaters as well under such situations.
However, the official announcement from the makers about the postponement is awaited. Movie lovers waiting eagerly for the release of KGF Chapter 2 and other such big movies, would need to have patience till then.
As per the current buzz, release dates of RRR and Pushpa also have been rescheduled for Dushera.
It seems, Dushera 2021 will witness a huge clash of big movies planned for big screens.
