Indian Idol 12: Fans Slam Shanmukhapriya, Ask Makers To ‘Kick Her Out’
The latest season of Indian Idol has been embroiling in various controversies and hitting the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Fans have been expressing their dissatisfaction over the performances by contestants for quite some time now but it seems like the recent episode has left them irked more than ever.
Indian Idol 12 recently aired a special episode with guests like Kumar Sanu, Anuradha Paudwal and Roopkumar Rathod gracing the show. During the episode, Shanmukhapriya and Ashish Kulkarni sang Humko Sirf Pyaar Hai together and garnered appraise from judges and guests alike. However, the audiences seemed to strongly disagree.
Following the episode, several fans took to Twitter to express their disappointment over the performance and demanded Shanmukhapriya’s elimination from the show. While some fans shared that they are tired of her yodelling, others slammed her for ruining the beauty of original songs.

This is not the first time fans have slammed Indian Idol 12 contestants for their performance in the show. Shanmukhapriya has been under the radar after the Kishore Kumar special when fans slammed her for ruining the golden retro songs and singing in the same pattern. The audience scrutiny has increased ever since Kishore Kumar’s son Amit Kumar claimed that he was asked to praise everyone even though he didn’t personally like their singing.
