However, according to the latest report, ACP Pradyuman is not dead and the makers have planned a grand re-entry of Shivaji Satam in the new season.

Shivaji Satam To Make Grand Re-entry as ACP Pradyuman!
Shivaji Satam aka ACP Pradyuman's exit from CID 2 left many disappointed with the new season. Before that, the reports of ACP Pradyuman's death sparked an outrage on social media with fans slamming the makers for killing the prime and popular character of the show. Meanwhile, speculations have been rife that it could be a mere PR stunt by the makers to gain views, and the makers could possibly bring back the popular character of the show, sooner or later.
Well, according to the latest report by TellyChakkar, the makers have plans to bring back Shivaji Satam on the show. The report suggests that Shivaji Satam will make a grand re-entry as ACP Pradyuman. Reportedly, the makers decided to bring back Shivaji Satam on the show owing to huge public demand.
Meanwhile, the CID 2 team has already started working on the grand re-entry sequence. Viewers can expect the ACP on the screen soon in the upcoming episodes.
ACP Pradyuman's Exit
ACP Pradyuman has remained the soul of CID since the show's inception in 1998. The departure of the face of CID sparked a wave of outrage on social media.
Responding to the speculations, while speaking to Bombay Times, Shivaji Satam said, "I have no clue about this. I have taken a break for some time and the makers know what lies ahead in the show."
Further, he added that he had not been told whether his track was over or not.
Parth Samthaan's Character a New Addition
Following that, reports surfaced about Parth Samthaan entering the show as a replacement for ACP Pradyuman. Though initially, Parth rejected the offer, the makers asked him to reconsider his decision and eventually, he accepted it.
While speaking to Hindustan Times, Parth said, "The makers asked me to reconsider. I was also hesitant due to the show's long-standing cast and the fact that they would have to address me as 'sir' onscreen. It felt a bit unusual and awkward.
Well, Parth Sam Samthaan's character will be a new addition to the show, also starring Dayanand Shetty, Aditya Shrivastav, Hrishikesh Pandey and Ajay Nagrath in key roles.
