Deepika Padukone has seen a lot of ups and downs in her career. From steady rise with Om Shanti Om and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani to Sanjay Leela Bhansali's epic flicks Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani, and Padmaavat, the diva has emerged as one of the most bankable female superstars in Bollywood in the last few years.
So when a group of performers dedicated their dancing to her superstardom showcasing her rise from a struggling actress to superstar Deepika Padukone could not hold her tears. It so happened that Deeps went as a guest on the famous dance reality show Dance Plus 5 to promote her movie Chhapaak. Led by the famous choreographer and director Remo D’Souza, it is a tradition of the dance program to pay tribute to celebrities performing on their songs.
So when the entire group of Dance Plus 5 dedicated their performance to Deepika Padukone, she was overwhelmed. While she did enjoy the entire presentation, by the end of the performance Deeps was in tears. The actress said, “Main bahot sare shows pe gayi hoon, par aaj jo mein mehasus kar rahi hoon, mein shabdon mein kahe nahi sakati. Bas dil se mein kahungi thank you so much.”

She further added, “Mera pura career muzhe dikha mere samne aur meine aaj tak mere pure career ke bare mein kabhi socha nahi hai. Mein bas kam karti gayi, karti gayi aur aaj muzhe woh mauka mila aap logon ke through ki meine jo bhi hasil kiya hai thoda bahut ya jo bhi meine aap logon ko entertain karne ki koshish ki hai kahi na kahi meine kuch sahi kiya. So thank you so much.”
Deepika was so stunned and gripped by the entire performance that she could not control her emotions. Ultimately, Remo had to come forward, hug and console her. The sultry actress will be next seen alongside her husband Ranveer Singh in 83. She also has signed a magnum Opus helmed by Nag Ashwin with Prabhas in the lead and will star as the female lead in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan.
