India’s successful execution of Operation Sindoor has made all the Indians very proud. Most of the time Bollywood refrains from appreciating such successful executions from Indian Army. But this time around B-town stars like Akshay Kumar , Suniel Shetty, Riteish Deshmukh, and Shahid Kapoor praised the Indian army.

Not surprisingly Pakistani actors like Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan who have been so eager to work in Bollywood and earn big money have now criticised this Indian attack on the Instagram account. Following suit many Pakistani Bollywood fans have also started unfollowing Indian celebrities on Instagram.

Many Pakistanis are huge fans of Bollywood superstars. From Shah Rukh Khan to Salman Khan to Aishwarya Rai, Kareena Kapoor Khan to others, Pakistani fans love Indian movies and songs. Most of their events have Indian Bollywood songs on the playlists. Naturally, many such Pakistani Bollywood fans also follow Indian superstars.

But after the Pakistan-India war triggered, many Pakistani fans have started unfollowing Indian celebrities especially celebrities like Janhvi Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Sara Ali Khan, Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor, and others.

This certainly will have an effect on the following of these actors on Instagram but will hardly affect their popularity in India or worldwide as Indian superstars have global reach. One of the Pakistani celebrities and YouTuber Hania Aamir who has a good following in India reacted to Operation Sindoor from the Indian side and sided with her country Pakistan.

However, after India banned Pakistani YouTubers, Hania has now come up with a special social media account to stay connected with her Indian followers. Many Pakistani citizens have slammed Hania for side-lining the country for her gains.

It is a known fact that many Pakistani singers and actors have benefitted by singing and working in Bollywood. But post Operation Sindoor it seems quite impossible for the cross-border cultural exchanges to resume anytime soon.
