Bijuria is trending again, and for good reason. The iconic 1999 track, originally sung by Sonu Nigam and performed with Ishitta Arun, has been remade for Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor.
The song, once a chartbuster from Sonu’s hit album Mausam, has returned with a fresh Bollywood makeover while retaining its timeless energy.

Sonu Nigam & Ishitta Arun Reunite After 26 Years
After more than two decades, Sonu Nigam and Ishitta Arun reunited to recreate the magic they once brought to the stage. In a recent video, the duo shared their reactions to the new version. Ishitta playfully remarked, “Bachchon ne accha kiya hai” (The kids have done well), while Sonu added, “Bohot mast kiya hai, bohot accha kiya hai” (They’ve done a great job).
Nostalgia and Playful Banter
Sonu quickly reflected, “Humne bhi accha hi kiya tha. Hamare zamane ke hisaab se bohot accha tha. Red jacket, green dress… yaad hai na?”—reminding fans of the song’s original iconic look. Though he sighed, “Ab nahi ho payega yaar” (We can’t do it now), Ishitta pulled him back with, “Yaad rakho hum kaun hain… karke dikhayenge!” (Remember who we are… we’ll make it happen!). She later captioned the clip, “26 years later and the answer is still the same, of course we can do it.”
A Fresh Bollywood Twist
The new version, directed by Shashank Khaitan, blends nostalgia with modern style—crisp choreography, colourful visuals, and updated beats. Varun Dhawan’s live performance with the reimagined hook step already has fans cheering.
