Aryan Khan: Challenges of being SRK's son, will he fail like Abhishek or evolve like Ranbir?

Aryan Khan was born with a silver spoon, with the celebrity tag since Shah Rukh Khan was already a huge star by the time he was born. However, decades later, SRK continues to be the biggest superstar of Bollywood despite facing a bad phase every now and then. Naturally, the reflected glory has passed on to his children, Aryan Khan , Suhana, and AbRam. Likewise, the expectations from these star kids are also very high.

While Aryan is soon making his debut as a director of his OTT series, Stardom, Suhana made her OTT debut with The Archies on Netflix last year.

Will SRK’s stardom affect the career of Aryan Khan?

Aryan Khan is already a celebrity and wherever he goes paparazzi follow him. Being the son of Shah Rukh Khan, fans have high expectations from him and his upcoming web series. But the question is whether he would be able to live up to these expectations or succumb to them. Suhana Khan already is struggling under the introspection from Bollywood fans and media and was badly trolled for her acting in The Archies.

When every move is scanned, it puts additional pressure on the artist. Abhishek Bachchan felt the same pressure when he made his debut in Bollywood. There were huge expectations from him as he is the son of Amitabh Bachchan. Unfortunately, Junior Bachchan could not reach the level of success that Big B attained and even today is struggling to get good movie projects and banners.

Although he has delivered some good hits like Guru and Dhoom, Abhishek is not considered a big star even today as he does not have the magnetic pull to attract the audience like his father had.

On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor has in the last few years established himself as one of the biggest Bollywood superstars. While his father Rishi Kapoor played the romantic hero in most Bollywood movies, Ranbir never fit himself in one bracket and experimented right from the start. Be it Wake Up Sid, Barfi, or even his last year’s superhit Animal, Ranbir Kapoor has played different types of roles which has helped him evolve better.

So it would be interesting to see which path Aryan Khan takes. Will he play it safe by directing regular commercial movies or try to experiment with some path-breaking content?
