In a shocking turn of events, actress Alisha Parveen, who is currently playing Rupali Ganguly’s adopted daughter Rahi in the popular TV soap ‘Anupamaa’ has reportedly been replaced by the makers. As per reports, the stunning diva will no longer be part of the show.
The actress had just entered the show two months back. She played the role of Rahi, adopted daughter of Anupama and Anuj in the show. However, she has been replaced when it took the generation leap, TOI sources confirmed. The news of her sudden removal just two months after shoot has left the actress shocked.
“It is shocking and disappointing. I am not sure what exactly happened and why I am being replaced! Today was my last day on the sets of Anupamaa. It was a fantastic opportunity and everybody loved my chemistry with Shivam Khajuria. But, I have no clue why I was suddenly replaced,” Alisha said.

“I had a meeting yesterday and was told about this decision. I am completely clueless but it happens sometimes. I will focus on my future projects now,” she added.
The bubbly actress who made her TV debut with ‘Gathbandhan’ has also acted in films like Maatr and Talwar. The popular show took a generation leap two months ago and many actors have been replaced or exited.
Talking about Anupamaa, the show currently focuses on Prem (Shivam Khajuria) confessing his love for Rahi who denies having any feelings for him. This leaves Prem dejected who quits his chef job in Anupama’s rasoi and leaves the entire family.
On the other hand, Rahi starts missing Prem and finally realizes that she is indeed in love with him. Meanwhile, Mahi, who also loves Prem tells Anupama that she wants to marry him.
